About the Artist: Victor Mozqueda

Victor Mozqueda is an international nature photographer and naturalist based in Texas, USA. His specialty is in macro photography exploring the fauna and flora around the world. By design his works are simple reflections that allow observers access to a few of earth’s most exquisitely intricate inhabitants. Hiking trails in gardens, parks, and forests are favorite exploration sites where Victor continues his search for unique rarities and commons to add to his collections for study, documentation and ultimate display. He enjoys emphasis on color, texture, symmetry and abstract conveying an appreciation of nature’s most fascinating patterns. Current works and concentration include arthropod studies along with favorite plant interests such as cacti and succulents.

 

Opening Reception: The Hidden Beauty of Plant Patterns

Join us for the opening reception of The Hidden Beauty of Plant Patterns, a new art exhibition celebrating the intricate elegance of cacti and succulents through the lens of nature photographer Victor Mozqueda. This special event will also feature a presentation at 11:00 AM by Mozqueda and by acclaimed writer Nancy Pick, co-author of Do Plants Know Math? Unwinding the Story of Plant Spirals, a captivating exploration of natural patterns in collaboration with renowned scientists and artists.
