Acton Nature Center Great Backyard Bird Count

The Acton Nature Center (ANC) will be participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) on February 18 & 19th, 2023 the GBBC is a fun, FREE, and easy event that engages birdwatchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of bird populations.

Meet at the Acton Nature Center Parking Lot
7:00 a.m. on each day to participate in bird walks
We will inventory birds for the Great Backyard Bird Count.
Walks will last from 7:00-10:00 a.m.
and will include stops at the ANC bird blind as well as other unique habitats.
On the 18th Dr. Billy Teels will give a presentation at 10am
At the Opal Durant Acton Community Center,
(6430 Smoky Hill Ct. Acton TX 76049).
The topic will be “The Effect of Climate Change on Bird Distribution”.
